If mum had run out of sausage skins she would just roll the mixture into sausage shapes before leaving them to set for 1 hour. She would then cook them and they tasted just as good.
Ingredients
  • 500 g Minced Lean Pork
  • 340 g Shredded Suet
  • 225 g Fresh White Bread Crumbs
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 tsp Sage (Chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp Thyme (Chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp Marjorum
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • Sausage Skins
Instructions
  1. Mix the pork, bread crumbs and suet in a large bowl
  2. Add the nutmeg, salt, pepper and herbs and mix very well
  3. Place the mixture in sausage skins
  4. Leave in a cool place for an hour to set before cooking or freezing
