Paprika Chicken

Ingredients
  • 1 Chicken (jointed and skin removed)
  • 30 ml Oil
  • 2 Onions (sliced)
  • 10 ml Paprika
  • 100 ml Dry white wine
  • 1 can Chopped tomatoes
  • 15 ml Tomato puree
  • 2 Red peppers (chopped)
  • Bouguet garni
  • 60 ml Plain yogurt
  • Salt
Instructions
  1. Brown the chicken in the oil and remove
  2. Add the onions and cook till soft
  3. Add the paprika and cook for 1 minute
  4. Blend in the wine
  5. Return the chicken
  6. Add tomatoes, tomato puree and red peppers
  7. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes
  8. Transfer the chicken to a serving dish
  9. Rub the contents through a sieve, before returning to the rinsed pan
  10. Reheat
  11. Season to taste
  12. Add yogurt and pour over the chicken pieces
