Ingredients
  • 3 cups Brown sugar
  • 4 Eggs
  • 3/4 cup Oil
  • 4 cups Digestive bran
  • Pinch of salt
  • 250 gram Seedless raisins
  • 4 cups Milk
  • 5 cups Flour
  • 5 tsp Bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
Instructions
  1. Cream the eggs and sugar together till thick and creamy
  2. Add oil and beat well
  3. Add Bran and mix
  4. Add milk and mix
  5. Add flour and mix
  6. Add raisins and mix
  7. Add bicarbonate of soda, salt and vanilla essence and mix
  8. Leave the mixture in the fridge overnight
  9. Preheat the oven to 180 C
  10. Place dollops on a baking tray and bake for 20 minutes
  11. (Uncooked mixture will keep in the fridge for up to 6 weeks)
