Great for a quick sweet treat and the kids love them
Ingredients
  • 3 Cups Cake Flour
  • 5 ml Salt
  • 5 ml Ground cloves
  • 5 ml Ground Cinnamon
  • 5 ml Ground Ginger
  • 5 ml Bicarbonate of Soda
  • 210 g Sugar
  • 250 g Butter
  • 2 Large Eggs (Lightly Beaten)
Instructions
Mixture
  1. Sift together the flour, salt, all spices, bicarbonate of soda and sugar
  2. Rub in the butter, then mix in the eggs
  3. The mixture should form a stiff dough
Preparation
  1. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and leave to stand for at least 2 hours, but preferably overnight
  2. Roll out mixture on a floured surface, until 5 mm thick
  3. Cut out biscuits and place on greased baking trays
Bake
  1. Preheat oven to 200 C
  2. Bake in oven for 10 min
  3. Allow the biscuits to cool
  4. Store in an airtight container
