Great for a quick sweet treat and the kids love them
Ingredients
- 3 Cups Cake Flour
- 5 ml Salt
- 5 ml Ground cloves
- 5 ml Ground Cinnamon
- 5 ml Ground Ginger
- 5 ml Bicarbonate of Soda
- 210 g Sugar
- 250 g Butter
- 2 Large Eggs (Lightly Beaten)
Instructions
Mixture
- Sift together the flour, salt, all spices, bicarbonate of soda and sugar
- Rub in the butter, then mix in the eggs
- The mixture should form a stiff dough
Preparation
- Cover the dough with plastic wrap and leave to stand for at least 2 hours, but preferably overnight
- Roll out mixture on a floured surface, until 5 mm thick
- Cut out biscuits and place on greased baking trays
Bake
- Preheat oven to 200 C
- Bake in oven for 10 min
- Allow the biscuits to cool
- Store in an airtight container
