A very easy and popular cake
Ingredients
  • 2 Cups Cake Flour
  • 100 ml Castor Sugar
  • 10 ml Ground Ginger
  • 10 ml Ground Cinnamon
  • 5 ml Baking Powder
  • 2 ml Salt
  • 2 Large eggs (Lightly Whisked)
  • 250 ml Oil
  • 250 ml Golden Syrup
  • 10 ml Bicarbonate of Soda
  • 250 ml Cold Black Tea
Instructions
Mixture
  1. Sift the flour, castor sugar, ginger, cinnamon, baking powder and salt together
  2. Beat the eggs, syrup and oil together
  3. Dissolve the bicarbonate of soda in the tea and add to the egg mixture
  4. Add the dry ingredients and mix well
  5. Grease a small cake tin and pour the mixture in
Bake
  1. Preheat the oven to 190 C
  2. Bake for 1 hour or until done (When a tooth pick comes out clean from the cake)
  3. Makes 1 Med size cake
