A very easy and popular cake
Ingredients
- 2 Cups Cake Flour
- 100 ml Castor Sugar
- 10 ml Ground Ginger
- 10 ml Ground Cinnamon
- 5 ml Baking Powder
- 2 ml Salt
- 2 Large eggs (Lightly Whisked)
- 250 ml Oil
- 250 ml Golden Syrup
- 10 ml Bicarbonate of Soda
- 250 ml Cold Black Tea
Instructions
Mixture
- Sift the flour, castor sugar, ginger, cinnamon, baking powder and salt together
- Beat the eggs, syrup and oil together
- Dissolve the bicarbonate of soda in the tea and add to the egg mixture
- Add the dry ingredients and mix well
- Grease a small cake tin and pour the mixture in
Bake
- Preheat the oven to 190 C
- Bake for 1 hour or until done (When a tooth pick comes out clean from the cake)
- Makes 1 Med size cake
