Mums Spicy Oriental Steak

Ingredients
- 60 ml Soya Sauce
- 5 ml Golden Syrup
- 2 ml Tabasco Sauce
- 30 ml Brown Sugar
- 50 ml Peanut Butter
- 1 Clove Garlic (Crushed)
- Juice and Zest of 1 Lemon
- 750 g Tenderized Steak (Cut int Strips)
- 5 Spring Onions (Sliced)
- 200 ml Water
- 10 ml Oil
Instructions
- Mix the water, soya sauce, golden syrup, tabasco sauce, brown sugar, peanut butter, garlic, lemon juice and zest together in a saucepan
- Bring to the boil and stir till smooth
- Set aside to cool
- Marinate the meat strips in the sauce for at least 1 hour
- Heat the oil in a large pan and fry the spring onions till crisp
- Remove the onions from the oil and set aside
- Remove the meat from the marinade and reserve the sauce
- Fry the meat in the oil till well browned
- Heat the reserved sauce and pour over the meat, top with the spring onions
- Serve immediately
