Potato Bake

Ingredients
- 6 Potatoes (Peeled and Sliced)
- 2 Onions (Finely Chopped)
- 40 ml Butter
- 15 ml Cake Flour
- 15 ml Full Cream Milk Powder
- 15 ml White Onion Soup Mix
- 250 ml Milk
- 250 ml Water
- 5 ml Salt
- Pepper to Taste
- 250 ml Cheddar Cheese (Grated)
Instructions
Prep
- Spray an ovenproof dish with non-stick spray
- Boil the potato slices in salted water until soft
- Arrange the potatoes in the oven dish
- Fry the onions until they are soft
- Add the cake flour, milk powder and onion soup and mix well
- Add small quantities of milk at a time while stirring continuously
- Add the water and stir well
- Heat till the sauce simmers and thickens
- Season with salt and pepper to taste and pour over the potatoes
- Sprinkle the cheddar cheese over the top
Bake
- Preheat the oven to 180 C
- Bake for 30 min until the cheese has melted
