Ingredients
  • 6 Potatoes (Peeled and Sliced)
  • 2 Onions (Finely Chopped)
  • 40 ml Butter
  • 15 ml Cake Flour
  • 15 ml Full Cream Milk Powder
  • 15 ml White Onion Soup Mix
  • 250 ml Milk
  • 250 ml Water
  • 5 ml Salt
  • Pepper to Taste
  • 250 ml Cheddar Cheese (Grated)
Instructions
Prep
  1. Spray an ovenproof dish with non-stick spray
  2. Boil the potato slices in salted water until soft
  3. Arrange the potatoes in the oven dish
  4. Fry the onions until they are soft
  5. Add the cake flour, milk powder and onion soup and mix well
  6. Add small quantities of milk at a time while stirring continuously
  7. Add the water and stir well
  8. Heat till the sauce simmers and thickens
  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste and pour over the potatoes
  10. Sprinkle the cheddar cheese over the top
Bake
  1. Preheat the oven to 180 C
  2. Bake for 30 min until the cheese has melted
